About Sophie

Sophie joined Reconstructive Orthopaedics Melbourne (ROM) in April 2025 as the personal assistant to A/Prof Lukas Ernstbrunner.

Sophie brings over a decade of experience across specialist medical practices, with a background in neurosurgery, orthopaedics, and medical billing. Her strong administrative skills, deep understanding of medical workflows, and warm communication style make her an invaluable support to both patients and the ROM team.

At ROM, Sophie is the first point of contact for patients, surgeons, and referring clinicians. She is passionate about delivering a seamless experience from initial consultation through to surgery and recovery — always ensuring the ROM values of compassion, clinical excellence, and clear communication are reflected in every interaction.

Outside of the practice, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Melbourne’s vibrant food and arts scene.
